Day 1 - Working in the heat

Uncle Troy woke me up at little after 10am. Before I ate Fruity Pebbles for breakfast, I took a shower. Then, me and Uncle Troy went out to ride the four-wheeler. He took me in the woods and showed me a tree that fell over and blocked the 4-wheeler path, so he showed me to go around it and we kept going. He also showed
me where his property line was (where his property ends), and then we turned around and came back to the house. He got off and went to work putting sticks into a trailer so we can have a bonfire while I'm here. I rode the 4-wheeler by myself and was riding in low gear (Uncle Troy told me not to go into high gear yet), I got used to turning, speeding up, and slowing down before I went into the woods. I took the same path that we took earlier, but I didn't go above 5 mph while I was in the woods. When I got back into his big yard, I speed up to 19 mph, but never went up to 20. Whenever I turned I kept it under 10 mph.

I parked it by Uncle Troy and started to help load up sticks. We had to make two trips and got most of it, but it was super hot out so we quit. He let me cut a log with the chainsaw which was awesome (not really, but going to). Both times when we were done loading up the trailer, I would drive the four-wheeler to the fire pit and we would unload it. We plan to have a bonfire tomorrow morning at 5am before it gets too hot out. If we wake up!

We went back inside for a few hours and watched YouTube in the AC.  Later after deciding what we were going to have for dinner, we went to Wal-Mart to get some ingredients for meatloaf. I was online looking for something to cook and figured that meatloaf wouldn't be to hard, and I wanted to try making it. While there we got some bread crumbs, a onion, ketchup, Doritos, and some stuff for his mower. I got to drive on the way back from Wal-Mart. He told me that I can do some driving while I'm down here.

It took about an hour and twenty minutes for the meatloaf to cook and while it was cooking Uncle Troy made some Mac 'n' Cheese and peas for our side dishes. The meatloaf wasn't terrible, it was just a little mushier than what it should have been. We looked it up and found out the ground beef he had wasn't as lean as it should have been for meatloaf, but regardless, it's still good and I know how to make meatloaf, and it was pretty good.

I hope you all enjoy my updates, as I plan to do more as I'm here.  Subscribe to the blog so you can know every time I update.  I will also do my best to post pics of my adventures.
